Terms of membership

These terms cover your membership in The Federal Insider, an education program from Federal Employee Benefit Coordinators ("FEBC," "we" or "us"). By joining, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so please do.

What you get

• New lessons each month on federal and postal retirement benefits.
• A live Q&A with Elizabeth Inman each month, usually the last Thursday. Replays are posted in the app.
• Tools and checklists, and a community for members.

Lessons, tools and schedules can change over time. If a live session moves, we'll tell you in the app.

Price and automatic renewal

• Monthly membership is $49.95 a month. Annual membership is $479 a year. Any tax the law requires is added.
• Your membership renews automatically and your card is charged at the start of each month or year until you cancel.
• If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first if you like.
• If a payment doesn't go through, we'll try again and let you know. Access may pause until the payment is made.

Cancel anytime

• In the app, go to Help, then My account, then Cancel membership. Or call us at 918-396-5171, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Central.
• Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
• We email you a confirmation when you cancel.

Refunds

• If The Federal Insider isn't right for you, call us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund that payment in full.
• After that, payments aren't refundable, and we don't give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.

Education, not advice

• Everything in The Federal Insider is general education about federal benefits. It is not individualized investment, tax, legal or insurance advice. Before making decisions about your own situation, talk with a qualified professional.
• Answers in live Q&As and the community are general. Please don't share account numbers, Social Security numbers or other private details.
• Rules and figures change. We work to keep lessons current, but confirm with the official source before you act.
• The Federal Insider and FEBC are not affiliated with or endorsed by OPM, the TSP, SSA, Medicare, USPS or any government agency.

Your membership is for you

• Please don't share your sign-in, or post our lessons, videos or checklists anywhere else.
• You're welcome to print checklists for your own use.
• Keep your email address current with us, because that's how you sign in.

Community guidelines

• Be kind and respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people.
• No selling, recruiting or advertising.
• Don't post private information about yourself or anyone else.
• We may remove posts that break these guidelines, and may end a membership for serious or repeated problems.

Our materials

The lessons, videos, checklists and other materials belong to FEBC or are used with permission.

Limits

We provide The Federal Insider as is and can't promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on general education, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
